solvimus… measuring what counts.

Our team is growing beyond the limits every day to help your projects become a success.

solvimus is not only rooted in Thüringen and at home in the world. We are a local supporter and an international service provider with affiliated manufacturing facilities.

Located near to the Technical University of Ilmenau, solvimus was founded in 2007 by three students of this university and became one of the best and most successful solution providers for Embedded Systems, Communication Technology and especially Smart Metering.

Furthermore, we develop and sell our own product ranges, conduct training courses and provide customers with support and services, also on site.

Investments in the future

Since 2015, solvimus is on a steady growth course.

Primarily, we want to invest in our greatest value, the people who work with and for us. This also includes a modern working environment and the optimisation of work conditions and work processes.

In order that we are able to improve and develop ourselves, we use suitable funding opportunities. You can find more information about them here.

2016 – A new domicile for solvimus GmbH

After almost 10 years, it was time for us to leave the “Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Ilmenau”.

Thanks to the reception of our customers we reached our growth limit at our old location. In our new premises we are now prepared for the requirements of the next years.

On the planning, we focused on the enlargement of the factory areas, energy efficiency, workplace ergonomy, increase of ESD-compliant workplaces in the production area as well as the digitalisation of internal business processes.

2017 – New tools

New software tools, which have regard to the company growth and the increasing digitalisation, become necessary. The increase in efficiency of operational processes caused by increasing digitalisation especially requires investments in immaterial economic goods, e. g. a DMS/Workflow system or also in a modern ERP system.

2018 – Transfer of business processes to an adapted ERP system and integration of mobile devices to optimize work processes in company

The digitalisation proceeds faster and faster. So we will focus more on Cloud solutions and Saas, especially in the field of conventional ERP systems.
For this purpose, a procejt has been started in the programme “Digitalbonus Thüringen”, which was approved as a project for the “digitization of operating processes”.

2018 – Recruiting and human resources management

We are investing not only in new working materials and tools to support our business growth, but also in our staff, as well as recruiting new employees and strategic personnel consulting. An external consultant supports us in this process.
