Further M-Bus components
Description
Repeaters serve as signal booster to transmit the communication signals over long distances.
Thus, extended M-Bus networks with a larger number of participants can be handled. The repeater acts in the superordinate network as slave and in the connected network as master. The repeater provides in its subnet the bus voltage and is charged with its unit loads. The physical load of the true master is clearly reduced. The repeater channels the communication data to the other network section in transparent mode.
- Status LEDs signalling transmission, receiving and collisions on the M-Bus
- Short-circuit protection on the M-Bus
- M-Bus slave and M-Bus master are galvanically isolated
